Rave Magazine

Gerard Way @ Big Day Out 2007So I’ve been shooting since September last year and I’ve been shooting for online music site Fasterlouder.com.au who have given me the chance to shoot a lot of gigs including festivals such as Soundwave, Rock The Vote and Australia’s biggest summer festival Big Day Out.

I’ve had a photo of My Chemical Romance from the BDO published in a Tasmanian street press magazine called A Fine Line it.

Mick Harvey @ Brisbane Powerhouse

Since then I’ve been picked up by Brisbane street press Rave magazine rival music zine of Time Off. They have a readership of 72,000 and have just published their 800th issue of which a photo of mine is featured on page 31.

I have been given a few gigs to cover for Rave which are, The Go Set @ The Zoo, Kaiser Chiefs @ Arena, Mint Chicks @ Step Inn and Carpark Carnage during EKKA week @ Jubilee. Nothing too big just yet but they have a lot of photographers on board and as such a lot of mouths to feed in regards to handing out gigs.

Severed LinkI have been asked by the designer of local Brisbane band Severed Link’s EP if he could use my photos I took of them at Overcranked Festival for the CD sleeve art work.

I didn’t ask for payment as I want to get my name out there amongst the local market so they will be putting my name and link to myspace in the sleeve and I will also be provided with a copy of the EP once it’s done. They have a release time frame of early August 2007 so I should expect a copy near September. I will also be shooting the EP launch at Club Phoenix in Brisbane as to get some more work out of these guys.

You can find me on myspace as kyeree so add me as a friend if you are interested in keeping up with what I’m doing over there, or let your band friends know I’m available for shoots.

  6. I think I got every type of stupid blog, I tried to livejournal but I realised I’m not emo any more lol Even my myspace blog has died.

I gotta make some money to get a website for my work, I’m getting over directing everyone to Flickr and myspace, feels like I’m such a n00b [well I am but I don't want it to seem that way!] D=

  7. lol you do have to be quite emo for livejournal and myspace blogging. I think my livejournal died about 2 years ago… maybe even longer than that. I deleted most of the old emo stuff though lol

You should get a website done up, for sure. It will be 100 times more professional.
